Fickle Tattoos

Earlier this year I created some temporary tattoo designs for exciting new company 'Fickle'. The site looks very cool and was launched last week with a whole range of designs that are just a little bit out of the ordinary. All designs are exclusive to Fickle and have been specially designed by established and emerging artists, including Jess Wilson, Maria Raymondsdotter and Kate Sutton. Cover for Valore

I was asked to do this cover for Valore Alimentare magazine a day or so before I was due to go to Chile and Argentina, so it ended up being a bit of a mad rush to get it done, which always seems to happen when I'm about to go away somewhere! When I had finally got it done, the internet ended up crashing at the crucial moment and I had to leave it in the capable hands of my sister to sort out and send off whilst I jumped on the Heathrow Express! The illustration is about what to eat during the summer months, with the hat doubling as a kind of food wheel.

NPR summer books

For the last couple of weeks I've been working on a series of illustrations for NPR's (National Public Radio)'s summer books page, which I'm really enjoying. There are several more to come but here are a few of my recent images. Subjects include Crime fiction, Critic's picks, teen reads and the more general theme of 'Cool reads for hot summer days'. Not getting many of those at the moment mind you! You can see some of the images in context here.
