Egg-sharing


The London Women’s clinic

I’ve just been doing some illustrations for a brochure about egg-sharing for the London Women’s clinic. I must admit I didn’t know much about the process of egg-sharing before, but the basic idea is that IVF patients who have a surplus of unused eggs can donate them to help women with fertility problems to have a baby. The process is beneficial to both sharer and receiver, as the receiver pays for the sharer’s treatment.

There are all sorts of issues involved and I thought the subject would be a tricky one to illustrate, but design company Silk Pearce who commissioned the work encouraged me to tackle it with a gentle humour. Here are some of the images I came up with.
